Guanajuato’s Footwear Chamber (CICEG) was born along with the enactment of the “Act of Commerce and Industry Chambers”. León’s Footwear Regional Chamber, “Cámara Regional de Calzado de León” was formally established on April 29th, 1942, by 80 shoe manufacturers.
In the 60’s, León’s association became a State Chamber as a result of several business entities’ consolidated efforts.
Currently, CICEG is the leading Chamber in Mexico, with 900 members including footwear manufacturers, marketers and suppliers.
CICEG focuses on the development of its affiliate members through different programs that were devised to satisfy their production, training, promotion and marketing needs; in such a way that they could comply with international quality standards and become globally competitive.
